Experiences!
I am now ready to compete in both “The Voice” AND “X-Factor”!
Jokes aside (!), in my recent quest for self-awareness, I was lucky enough to follow the private seminars “Voice & Success” of Nina Kaloutsa. Nina taught me, amongst other things, how to breathe! She is an electrifying public speaker. Her passion for the subject is infectious. In just a short time, you gain a fresh perspective on matters relating to the way we breathe, the way we speak and the importance of the words we use and how these affect our daily lives. She has deep professional expertise and it shows. Nina draws on her extensive experience as a Singing and Voice Specialist. Her presentations are packed with illuminating anecdotes, informative statistics, surprising paradoxes and a refreshing dose of good humor! In sum, it is my pleasure to give Nina my highest recommendation!
About the technique
Every baby born healthy, is destined to speak with a healthy voice, with its own identity. To most people, over the years, the voice loses several characteristics, depending on their life experiences. The body gradually closes and breathing becomes more shallow. This is mainly due to stress and other factors. So people end up feeling that no one is listening to them, that their voice is breaking during their speeches, or speak monotonously with no tension, emotion or colour.
Voice is an extremely important element of our identity, although unfortunately, not evaluated usually as such. And yet, according to scientific measurements, when communicating, the tone of our voice, plays a much bigger role (38%), than the words we actually use (7%). Impressive is it not?
This most important communication tool, often loses its momentum and may even end up having a negative effect on the conversationalist or the listener.
More specifically, the volume, expansion and other characteristics of our voice, provide information about whether someone feels inner peace, confidence and stability in his life or is experiencing feelings of anger, frustration, fear, insecurity, etc.
Can someone improve his voice? Of course she/he can!
As long as one realizes the benefits of this change: Improving one’s voice, enhances at the same time his communication and positive influence, thus becoming more productive and efficient within his personal and professional environments.
Beyond that, however, the improvement of voice can also lead to a journey of personal change and transformation. Through a series of interactive and self-awareness exercises, one is taught how the mechanism of breathing works; how to “pump from deep within”, activating the brain, “reprogramming” the body with new thoughts and beliefs, as the whole being is supported by one’s own positive words and not just by the neck and the mind.
By releasing energy through the change of breathing, one allows himself to create a new future, to become who she/he really wants to be and gradually find the true identity of her/his voice and personality.
More specifically, the Voice Specialist, will help you learn how to:
- Convince and captivate with your voice, as you learn to speak with more confidence
- Breathe better
- Express your arguments more convincingly, securely and accurately
- Increase your leadership influence
- Express a wider range of emotional colours
- Better understand the emotions and mood of your listener
- Use high-energy words
- Address issues with the vocal cords and throat in general (such as hoarseness, fatigue, lumps, etc.)
- Change the conviction of “living in the past” to “living in the new present” and to creating a different future
- Cultivate your attention skills
- Train the mind and body to be in the “present moment”
- Deal with stressful situations successfully
- Release the “imprisoned” emotional energy of the body and use it to create a new reality
- Radiate new electromagnetic signals to attract new opportunities in life
